Is there anybody out there who still has this plan (unlimited offpeak calls)? The bad news is that Vodafone are discontinuing it from July, I guess like $10 TXT all good things have to come to an end eventually! :-)

I have had off peak advantage since 1997 and still got it today

Off-peak advantage is not a pricing plan as it had to be connected to a pricing plan, like local advantage IV or advantage V, just talk or a plan along those lines. off peak advantage is a call feature.

I am just amused at the letter Vodafone sent out explaining it is ending, it could certainly have been worked a lot better. They talk about upgrading their billing system to something much more sophisticated to handle all the new services they're offering - it can't be that much more sophisticated if it can't handle the same features the current billing system has!

I guess I'm just lucky to still have it however it would be good if Vodafone had been honest about the service in the past, I have 2 friends who have lost it over the past couple of years, Vodafone sent them letters at different times saying the same thing, that the billing system was being upgraded blah blah and the plan would no longer be available. One of them complained after losing it when he realised that 2 of us still had it and was told by one of the heads of billing that all customers would be losing it at the same time (approx 2 years ago) due to an "upgrade of their billing system". I got in contact with the same person and without mentioning my friend asked if and when Vodafone would ever be discontinuing the service to be told they had no plans to at present but they couldn't guarantee it would not be discontinued in the future. He then complained about the letter they sent him but got nowhere, they refused to give him the plan back. Needless to say he's been pretty peeved at Vodafone ever since with the fact I still had it.

Like people that abused Telecom's $10 SMS CAP causing TNZ to remove the plan? Well, we know that operators are driven by results, not exactly making John Doe or Jane Doe happy.
