Don't use the software supplied with the datacable. download the pcsynch software and drivers (comes with instructions) from the Hyundai site http://www.curitel.com/english/index.asp. Install the software and drivers, connect the cable into a USB slot. The drivers, will recognise the new piece of hardware and run their own installation.
You need to create a user name and password for the pcsynch software.
Once installed, you should have no probs, let me know if you have any.

While connected, if you click on image from the lhs menu, a box should pop up, saying it is reading the image files. They will then appear in the rhs table.
Select one or a group and click download to PC. they should then be extracted and saved into the PC Synch Image folder on your c'drive.

Yes I have the phone on, put the cable into the pc, the cable into the phone.

What version is your phone software? (go to settings, handset info, version).
I haven't changed any of the phone settings, if you can get the phonebook to transfer, I can't see why pictures won't.

Re the midi's
Yes I have transfered midi's to the phone. Save your midi into the melody folder under the pc synch folder (program files/Hyundai&Curitel/PC Synch TX-95c/Melody.
Connect your phone and usb cable, open the pc software, log on, click connect, go to melody (lhs menu) the file you savd should be in the middle of the screen. Click the midi, and click upload to phone.
The file should then upload to the phone. The phone will then reboot.
Don't disconnect the phone andusb, until it has startd up again.
NB: Can't transfer midi's over 60kb.

I have also successfullytransfered mp3's, but you have to cut them down to less than 60kb, then chane the file name to .mid.

My software version is T095NZ2T29_0.191, I would say that you need an upgrade. You will be able to get this done at your Telecom Dealer.
Also make sure you have the latest version of the Hyundai software from their site (v1.16)

I purchased my data cable over ebay. From a company called BargainCell. You need to purchase the USB Data Cable for the Audiovox 8900. (came with softwar, but don't use it) It cost $10US + $9 P&P, about $36 NZ all up. It took around 10 days to arrive. There are other suppliers but some don't ship internationally. Never used ebay before and it was a bit of a mission, but worth it with the $ saving.

Thanks for that andyb. I'm just looking at the BargainCell listing for the cable on ebay now, looks great - too good to pass up in my opinion. Problem is, I've never used ebay before. How did you go about payment? Is Pay Pal safe?

Probably as safe as it gets, I used my credit card, there is a bit of 'toing and froing' while things are authorised etc. I was a bit uneasy about doing it, as it was my first purchase over the net, but BargainCell have good feedback. Also if you trawl through the other posts in this forum on this topic, others have provided good feedback on bargaincell.

As far as I know there has been no successful software developed for the NZ market yet with the Sanyo. Jared from APT may be able to comment more on that though. I'm waiting for the software too.
