hey all,

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7105 LTE.

its been a trusty phone for years, and I donated it to my partner when I upgraded to the Note 4, a few months ago it just up & stopped working.

I had it checked out & was told the motherboard was dead. Was quoted an insane price to have it repaired so bugger that.

I was wanting it fixed, but hoped I might be able to it cheaper, ie buy a motherboard overseas or find a 2nd hand Note 2 LTE someone has that has bad physical damage but good internals.

before Im told, dont waste your time, buy a new phone, my partner wants to but is waiting for something to come out thats of interest.
In the mean time hoped the Note 2 might able to be repaired if I got my hands on a replacement motherboard....

Ive been told by one of those mall phone repair places that an overseas motherboard most likely wouldnt be compatible. and they seemed to think that I wouldnt get a replacement any more. I have managed to find oe or 2 overseas but they seem to be europe models.

any ideas here?

or would anyone have an old Note 2 LTE thats damaged but working & wants to flick it off cheap???
Then I could make a good phone from the 2.... I hope?

ive been checking trademe regularly but not finding much at all.

thanks in advance smile

I recently had to send my damaged Note 2 7105 off to the insurance company to sell. Think they were going to flick it off via Grays Online in their damaged goods auction, may be worth a look as well?

If she is on 2D or VF you should consider getting a Smart Ultra 6, will probably cost you not much more than the parts to repair the old phone

I bought one as an in-between phone for much the same reasons (nothing currently available excited me enough to spend big money) and it is a great phone with very similar possibly better specs to the note 2. Even if i sell it in a year's time if and when an exciting flagship is available to buy i will easily get at least half of my money back

still no luck on this, greys online was worth a short but nothing there.

if anyone out there has an old Note2 4G model that has power but a stuffed screen or the likes they'd be keen to sell??
