Brought my S5 at launch, battery is noticeably worse now (not holding its charge as long) Not to worry i'll get a new battery, BUT

All the batteries on trademe and other sites I've looked at seem to be non genuine ones. I looked on the Samsung site but it appears they are out of stock.

Anyone know where I can get a guaranteed genuine S5 battery? Or does it not really matter..I just get concerned the Chinese knockoffs aren't as good as originals..like mAh values not as they state etc etc.

TIA

Try to order one from Amazon? PB tech does have the originals. Alternatively, try your local warehouse stationery or noel leeming etc. They usually put the prev flagship accessories in the clearance bins so you might be able to score a bargain. (i got my Note 4 spare battery from Amazon while I was in USA).

Tried warehouse stationary and noel leeming, they said they were out of stock (well the local ones anyway) Are the ones on pbtech original? There are heaps of knockoffs with the Samsung logo that are not OEM

Ya, PB tech does have the original ones, I have seen it in the Samsung boxes. I havent looked much further into it besides that though.

Yeah I called their service desk and they seem to be sure they are original..Will take the risk and have ordered one!

Cheers.

Hopefully my battery life is back to how it was when I brought it :)

My note 4 replacements have just arrived. Took ages to charge and didnt drop from 40% to off in about 5 mins like the one I have used for the last 6 months or so.
