Need to swap HER sim from a Galaxy Ace 3 (GT S7275R) – Vodafone can’t fix call drop outs

  • To the old man’s iPhone4 (he’s deaf and only needs texting)
  • and vice versa

Everything on the web says to go to contacts on the ACE and use Import export menu to move contacts to the SIM – but there is NO Import / Export menu showing on the ACE. Only shows:

  • Delete
  • Accounts
  • Speed Dial
  • Send Msg
  • Settings
Any other way to get contact to SIM?

Also, how to move iPhone contacts to SIM?

Any suggestions much appreciated

switching from the iPhone to the Ace is EASY!

get a app called Samsung switch!

from the galaxy to iPhone no so much; you are correct you can move all your contacts to the sim card but will only have basic details ( name & no)

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

If the dropped calls are caused by faulty handset then it would be over to Samsung service agent

If he lives in poor coverage then you could look at Sure Signal

Thanks John, got a Sure Signal already, drop outs happen every where, not just home! Phone repaired twice, no resolution.  She just wants to get back to the iPhone

Is the Move to iOS app any use for this?

Forget copying the contact to the SIM, that's so 2006.
You want to sync your contacts with your google account.....then do the same on the iPhone.
Job done.

This is because the phone is in "Easy Mode". To transfer contacts you need to be in "Standard Mode". Go into either Easy Settings, then Home Screen, select Standard Mode and tap Apply, or go into the main settings from the notification panel, My Devce, Home screen mode, select Standard Mode and tap Apply. You will get a different home screen and the Contacts app will have many more options in the menu, one of which is Import/Export which you can use to export contacts to the SIM card.

As an aside, it's a shame that Samsung no longer provide Easy Mode on phones. Makes things much more simpler for those users who are not particularly IT savy, and allows us to standardise on one phone for both power and non-power users.

DOH! Totally forgot I set that for her; and you're right it makes for a nice, clean interface for non-power users
