What language did you want (PHP, asp.NET etc) and which SMS provider (Clickatell etc)?

I wrote my own ASP VBSCRIPT code to send using Clicatell, something in about ten lines. Quite easy and Clickatell has examples actually in their support pages.

Clickatell works well, just use your favourite web language to send an appropriatly formatted email to thier SMTP gateway, job done.

Unfortunatley, they no longer allow you to set arbitrary sender id's (the number/text that appears as the sender on the recipient's phone), you have to use a set one that you have confirmed (they send it a text message code etc), or it will use some south african number.  Up until a couple of weeks ago you could send anything as the sender ID which was MUCH more useful.

If anybody knows a gateway which can still handle arbitrary sender id, please chime in :)
