Has anyone found an upgrade path for a Telecom Huawei P7 from the supplied Android version 4.4.2 and EMUI version 2.3? Or is there a good custom ROM for the P7?

I see there is talk about updates available for European versions but nothing for downunder. If you have, was it worth the effort?

The phone does what it says on the box but if there are any advantages to upgrading it would be good to know.
