After being a supporter of Windows phone for awhile now, I have decided to move to Android due to various reasons.

Anyway, I don't need a flagship device, so the two phones I am looking at, are the Huawei P8 and the Meizu M2 Note.

Obviously the P8 is better specc'd but is there any reason not to consider the M2 Note as well? The only downsides I see with the M2 Note are the polycarbonate body and no NFC.

I also considered the Smart Ultra 6, as it ticks all the boxes spec wise, except it can only be used on Vodafone or 2degrees and I don't want to use either of those companies.

Budget is $400 hence my two choices. P8 - currently $399 at JB, and around $299 for the M2 Note at Mightyape etc.

Both are good options, though personally I would go with the M2 Note for the user interface.

That being said, I am biased, I thought id quickly post here that I would sell you my almost new M2 Note for $200 inc courier if your interested.

I'm only selling as it was a temporary phone while my iPhone was away getting repaired, its only had around 2 weeks use.

I have the receipt and original packaging and can send it with the phone.

Daughter (15) bought herself a P8 a few months ago after having a Samsung Galaxy S3. She loves her P8. At $400 it's quite a bit of phone. She paid just under $500 on a 15% off sale.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Personally I'd prefer the p8. Huawei are putting out quality units in that price range, I was playing with one yesterday and there's not a huge jump from that to something like there 6p even for most users other than the price

I have been looking at that, but I prefer to buy within NZ, so if anything is wrong, I can just walk into the store to get it sorted.

I ended up going with the P8 anyway, got it priced matched with JBHifi at Harvey Norman.
