Biennial review of mobile networks, plans and phones in our household.
I'm just curious about what other households do. Do you have both phones on the same network, or different networks? I was thinking it would be a good idea to split the networks on the basis that if one network is down, you still have one phone that may work. Disaster preparedness and all that.
But on the other hand, if it is a disaster, and the only person you want to call is your spouse, you're stuffed if either network is down. Whereas if you're both on the same network, it's 50-50 you might be able to call.
We're not heavy enough users (and the kids aren't old enough) to justify the family share plans. Between Vodafone Flex prepay and Skinny Direct, there are good prepaid plans that would suit both our calling and mobile data habits.
