Hello smile

Finally got my Samsung Galaxy A3 after a lot of decision making. Really like the small factor and I think (once I get the case for it) that it's going to be a good phone to use.

Only thing is, I think the quality of images with the camera are rather crappy. I accepted when I migrated from my Nokia Lumia 930 with its 20MP camera to this one at 13MP that there would be a step down in image quality. But this one doesn't have image stabilisation or any features like that I can tell.

What I'd like to know is, rather than using the default camera app, is there one I can download that would improve the quality of my images? I'm not talking about taking 20MP images with the camera I have, I know that's not possible. But something that might sharpen up the images and reduce blurring?

Any help much appreciated :)

Your best shot is to check if you can save RAW images and do postprocessing yourself. Otherwise, NO. Sensor is the key.

Apps can make a difference although in most cases the result is worse than the stock camera app

can they make a difference? yes, is the difference going to be big and noticeable? not really, as mentioned above it may even be worse

why i say yes is because ive had firmware updates for my phone that have included updates for the camera to make it better.
