Why can't Vodafone customers call 0900 numbers from there cellphones? And yes I know it uses a delayed billing system(says it on Vodafone's website), but in the USA they have prepaid phones and they can call 1-900 numbers and it works. Why can't Vodafone NZ do this?

I'm assuming its nothing more than a call bar placed on the prepay service to ensure that unpayble bills aren't raked up by unscrupulous people making calls with little or no credit. I dont if they will but i suppose it wouldnt hurt talking to 777 to see if they can remove the bar

It cannot work due to delayed billing and fraud. For the few who might use it, it's not worth operators the hassle. in the US I believe you have to "activate" and give some personal details. this might be a way to track down fraud.
