Is there a way I can unlock this feature so I can use a world mode SIM in my Phone?

This is not a SIM card slot and your phone is incapable of connecting to a GSM network as it is not a worldmode phone.

UIM is a similair concept to the GSM SIM card however it hasn't been utiliised by most CDMA carriers.
