I was just using the phone maybe 2 or 3x to send a message and now it doesn't work. Then I put it back in the pocket. I've had other phones before and they never had this issue.

I don't have waterproof phones ... but with the expensive phones that it is claimed to be waterproof I asked the service center and they said the manufacturer can argue against it if moisture if found inside the phone. How has your experience been in this area?

I wouldn't deliberately submerge my iPhone 8, but I don't worry about it in the rain. I would expect it to survive an accidental submersion.

Before I got this I always avoided using my phone in the rain because if a drop of water falls on a sensitive component like the earpiece then it might not end well.

My samsung s7 got a bit wet the other day, I'd been out in the weather and soaked to the skin. When i plugged it in to charge, it flashed up a warning of moisture detected and wouldn't charge. So i popped it on the wireless charging pad and i haven't seen any warnings since.
