Telecom are so evil

people go buy 800$ sanyo phones , when they came out, a month later , its 500$.

within a month of coming down , drop 200$ off price. There marketing ideas are crazy, im not buying another telecom phone , becuase it will lose value so quickly, its not worth it.

Early adopters pay a premium in any field.... WiFi, Pentium Processors, Widescreen TV, DVD Players, Digital Cameras... the list goes on.

Last i saw, $800 minus $200 was $600, but the Sanyo was only ever $699 max :-)

I bought a 6225, $599, its now $499, big deal, im not crying. Everyone knows Telecom handsets take a price dip every few months - its happened for every handset except the Samsung A591 that I know of in the last 18 months.

Vodafone do it to (I dont know if its to the same extent as Telecom).

If you paid for a handset, it was because you wanted to. Things are only worth what you are willing to pay. You were willing to pay $699, so it must have been worth it.

Their current promo sees customers (new and existing) getting the handset purchase price back as a credit (even on prepaid), I bought one last month tho, so missed out (was too early) - but thems the breaks...
