Hey,
Does anyone know how or where to get trutone or real music rigntones for Telecom phones. I looked at their site and it says you can download them for my phone (Sanyo 8100) but then it doesn't say how to get to them. The usual midi ones sound real bad.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hey HWQ,
I just ran across a site that actually has a software that lets you record from a CD or mpg and clip it then download to your phone.................I will take a serious effort to find this for you so hold tight.

There should be a few trutones on Downloadcentral. there's more added constantly so try again in a week if there isn't.
You can get to downloadcentral from your sanyo's wap home page.

Hey Taniwha,

I have found one tru tone at download central - it's the bll black haka. Sadly not something I want to use. I find it really annoying that they don't tell you which ones are tru tones. It means you have to listen to every single one online to find then. Pretty stupid really.
Has anyone else found other tru tones on the site? - preferably music.

Cheers

Tru-tone Ringtones look like they are now available.
At www.xtra.co.nz/ringtones they've popped up for Sanyo 4920 and Sanyo 8100

Hey. Thanks for the heads up on that. It's about time telecom sorted that out. I've been emailing them for ages saying that Vodafone have a true tones section and why didn't they. Now they do. Sweet!

Telecom has several formats of tones for the phones at there site. There branding is missleading.

To date there are the following formats on there site

M4A ( AAC format) near MP3 quality Sanyo 7400
QCP ( Qcelp) High Voice quality Other Sanyo's Nokia's and Hyundai's
MID (Midi) Keyboard Quality All Phones

Both M4A and QCP are branded as trutones however there is large diff in there quality
All the samples that you can play on the phone are QCP however if you own a 7400 it should download the MPA Quality if they have converted to the new format
