My Son is a typical trucky - puts his phone in a pocket where it is easily accessible and therefore it falls out regularly.  Looking at rugged phones via a simple Google search, I found this offering from a specialist NZ vendor:

https://ruggedphones.co.nz/shop?olsPage=products%2Fulefone-armor-5-4g-rugged-smart-phone-4gb-ram-64gb-rom-blue

This handset has good specs and seems to be reasonably priced.  I would appreciate any suggestions as to what else to look at and where.

Needs are basic - voice, txt, internet connection for browsing and emails.  Camera specs need only to be OK.  No video (recording or playback) is needed so media specs are not too muck of a consideration.  Dual SIM not needed.  Fingerprint sensor and NFC capability are desirable.

Thanks in anticipation.

why not just buy a ruggid case for the phone he has?

or buy a phone that they make a good ruggid case for?
