Anyone tried to work on the above issue? Is it possible to do in that way?

Depend on your connection. Most of the GPRS networks are NATed, and your address will be 10.x.x.x, unless you have a special APN giving real IP addresses.

I've just tested with a real IP address over an internet APN (not WAP) using Vodafone and it worked fine. Mind you, if you have one of these 10.x.x.x addresses it will not work.
