I am thinking of buying a motorola v 525 and I heard that there is software you can download to upgrade it to a 600. Do any of you know how I can do this?

Yes, it is possible to do this upgrade.

I haven't done it myself nor do I know anyone personally that has, but I've read of people doing it. Usually phone flashing requires special equipment, though I'm not sure with the v525/v600 series. You also carry the risk of a phone that won't power up if something goes wrong. Having said that, usually it's a straight forward process and you also get the advantage of having all the Vodafone Live! clutter removed from the phone :)

Maybe you could contact this guy:

He's done the upgrade and will probably be able to point you in the right direction if you're really keen. Otherwise search around on google, there's a few posts there about it.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

OOOHHHH HYPERFIBRE!
