Hi all

Just wondering if any of you have had any experience (good or bad) with the following online companies....... I'm looking to get myself a Sony Ericsson S700 phone

Mobilefly - www.mobilefly.com
NZSHOP2GO - www.nzshop2go.com
Expansys - www.expansys.co.nz

The first two seem to have good prices but I'm not sure how reputable they are, if someone has had positive experience with them it would ease my mind.

Also if you know of any other good companies please feel free to reply

Telecom.co.nz & Vodafone.co.nz will both sell mobiles online :-)

Loads of dealers for both networks will too...

Sorry I meant to say that the reason for my original query was because I dont want to buy a branded cellphone. I want a phone that doesnt have Vodafone Live on it and is unlocked so I cant buy them from any normal distributor only parallel import or from overseas (also a great way to save $$$$)

Expansys are very good. I've also heard lots of good things about Parallel Imported and etown as well (www.parallelimported.co.nz & www.etown.co.nz) who both advertise virtually every day in the Herald.

Problem with ETOWN

Don't buy from ETown, they tries to ignore you if there is any problem with the equipment you have bought. They never answer their phone, infact their voice mail has been full for months. I took in something back for service, it's been over 2 months now still have not got it back. They basically don't want to know you unless you are buying., they just want you money. They are not with the trouble, go somewhere else.

I ended up buying my Sony Ericsson S700 phone from www.nzshop2go.com

It arrived within a week from Hong Kong, was unbranded and unlocked and I saved $400 on the price that they charge here in New Zealand.

Only thing I had to do was manually set up the phone to access PXT Messaging and set up GPRS WAP and HTML / EMAIL browsing. The PXT and WAP set up was easy, since Sony Ericsson can txt you the settings, the HTML / EMAIL settings werent difficult and the settings could be received via txt also, but Vodafone had to tweak a setting on my SIM Card at their end to get it working, just phoned them up

Overall this has been a positive buying experience on getting a phone in from overseas. Makes you aware how much extra we get charged
