Hi All,
I just provisioned my Aircard 580 this morning, and it is great! I had to download drives for a Compaq laptop, and I thought what a great reason to test out my new toy. I am on the fringe of EV-DO in Auckland, with the card sometimes falling back to 1x, but all the same I got great results.

Driver ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp16001-16500/SP16202.exe which is a1.01mb file came down in 10seconds. And a 3mb file from the same FTP in just under 35 seconds.

Latency is great, 120 – 150ms. Will be awesome for citrix apps.

Now, all I got to do is wait for my harrier to finish charging…...

Anyone else had a good play with EV-DO yet?

Cheers

Your latency may be due to your being on the fringe. EV-DO latency should be lower than that....

My experience has been good so far - up to 380k on my harrier. I've seen higher, but this is still great!
