The Nokia cant set recordings as ring tones (only midi files). The Hyundai -might- be able to. I dont think the Samsung can.

In my opinion the 3205 is the best of the bunch - especially for sending and recieving photos - its just so easy.

I've just had a look at my TX115. Admittedly, I'm not too clued up on how to use this handset, but I can't see any way to set recordings as ringtones. Apparently, you can download 'tru-tone' or polyphonic ringtones from Telecom, but that's about it as far as I can see.

I have the Hyundai one too and I couldn't find a way to do it either so doesn't matter. Anyhoo She decided based on your advise (the the price) to go for either a 3205 or a N391

Just bought my daughter an N391 on a boost mobile package with a 64mb MP3 player and fm radio. Damn good deal for 249-00 odd dollars. Phone is a bit more solid than the Nokia 3205.

Really good deal though go for it!!!

The Sanyo's I believe and maybe the hyundai are capable of downloading .QCP files which are kind-of like recordings.

I'm not sure of Telecom have these (they might be the "TRU TONES") but with a lot of work this can be done yourself.

make WAV on computer, download "Purevoice" from CDMATECH.com and record the file
you'll need the command line interface.

Then you need to make a "content descriptor" and place both files son a site with a WAP menu pointer.
Sound all too complex? leave it to the pro's. Even I gave up after hitting a stumble.
You might also be able to datacable the .QCP file in.
