Hi,

I wanted to know if anybody knows if there is cellphone coverage on these islands:

Stewart Island
Great Barrier Island
Waiheke Island


If so, then what network/s have coverage there eg. Vodafone, Telecom, or both

GSM is good on Great barrier in summer and Waiheke is good, CDMA is better on the Stuart Island as Telecom placed a site on there about 5 months ago that covers the main township.

There is good CDMA coverage (including EVDO (mobile broadband)) on Waiheke also CDMA coverage on Great Barrier. Summer, Winter or whatever the season.
