I bought one of these

It's a Ringo phone from Circuit Mess. I've made the phone but it will not find a local network - I'm using my Vodafone SIM from my iPhone as a test.

Their helpdesk / support has not replied and so I'm wondering if anyone has this phone and has found a NZ resolve?

Thanks all.

https://circuitmess.com/resources/faq/21 has some information on this, mainly related to assembling.

Did you get the NZ version?

From a quick look, when you order you select which country you will be using it so they know which chipset to send.

IT IS NOW WORKING 😀

I found that standing outside did the trick.

Yes and no. I used the SIM card from my iPhone. When in the iPhone it works anywhere in the house. But in the RINGO it does not.

The RINGO ariel is just a paper thin module, about 1x4cm, so I'm guessing that's the source of the issue I had.
