I purchased an I-mate's  9502 based on the reasonable list of specs that this phone  appeared to offer.

Said ownership of this phone lasted a frustrating four days!

After the third day of after constantly having my calls cut off, and having to pull the battery two to three times a day to recover from lockups, such prompted me to make the decision to return this unit.

When it was running it was incredibly slow and the phone would freeze when the screen was popped up, it would halt constantly when texting, composing emails or browsing the web.

On returning this unit giving the reasons as to why (assuming the phone may be faulty) , the vendor seemed unsurprised and I was informed there was another one returned days before with the same issues.

It a shame that these phones appear to have such short comings

I am now left with the dilemma of finding a suitable replacement with something of similar specs.

Seen the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X1  and looking at this a  possible replacement

Any ownership feedback on these phones would be appreciated

nztechfreak had bought a sony and posted here. Personally I am an HTC fan, so I am getting a touch 3g when it eventually comes out.

The touch 3D is a nice clean looking unit!
Im still a fan of  the qwerty key pad, and more so stability ..  which in some ways puts me off pioneering the latest tech in favour of products with a stable track record, but still wanting all the contemporary  features (bit of an oxymoron)
