Afternoon All,

Just seeking some advice. I am in for a new iPhone and unfortunately my budget is restricted. I am eyeing up the iPhone XR from JB HiFi. I end up getting a discount via work perks. I am cautious though and query whether VoLTE will work if it is a generic firmware (as opposed directly buying from Spark).

Your thoughts much appreciated.

iPhone pulls down carrier settings depending on the carrier you use, in order to make use of carrier specific features. You don't need to buy a Spark iPhone to get this. In fact there no carrier branded iOS anywhere. It's all generic firmware handled by carrier settings update.

It'd be great if Android phones behaved the exact same way! :)
