Why does the samsung N361 and N391 have a black and white WAP browser, even thought they are 65K colour phones!?

Because Samsung did not build in WAP2 (XML2) support.

Yeah, plus they are made made for the Chinese market so have to be resonably cheap and i guess not having a colour browser saves money.

Well that sucks and especially because boost mobile says "Download Xtra Java Games" (http://www.boostmobile.co.nz/boost/content/0,5266,204346-203042,00.html). I was hoping that i would be able to download games with it

This phone looks similar to the samsung N391. I has more features though.(http://asia.samsungmobile.com/en/phone/phone_view/phone_feature.jsp?p_pfid_1=SGH-X600)

That's a GSM phone. not CDMA so it's not the N391.

here we have what looks like the N361 - http://www.samsung.com.cn/products/mobilephone/cdma/sch_x659.asp

If a samsung phone is SGH xx Its a GSM phone so Telecom wont get it, but if its SCH xxx ITs a CDMA phone so Telecom might get/have it

VGA in this context either refers to the display resolution (640 x 480 pixels) or the camera resolution.

One of the anoying things about the samsung N391 (and probably other samsung phones) is that when ever someone changes their callback number, their name gets cleared from the contact list in texting. Example: If "Bobs" callback number was 0274 12345, that would be stored in my phonebook so when a text comes through it would say "bob" at the top. But if they changed their number to ##*123##*, their name would be un-identified, so when if i got a text from "bob" it would say no-name at the top...
It gets anoying, when there is people changing their callback number all the time. Yeah.
