...bought here in New Zealand and Vodafone branded? I.e. Not a parallel import.

I'm wanting to know whether it lets you use your OWN mp3 files transferred from elsewhere as your ringtone? I know Vodafone disabled this option a few years ago to encourage buying from their store but are they still doing it? I owned a SE K700i which wouldn't let me do it and it was a huge hang up for me.

I don't want to pay loads of money just to end up using crappy midi files. It sounds terrible.

Thanks for any help!

It should. I have K800i from Vodafone which allows me to select any mp3 etc for ringtones and also for your text alert.
My C905 (imported) also allows me to do this. My V800 (Vodafone) also allows me to select any ringtone, but not for text message alerts.
