I have tried a number of sites and ICQ but the service is apparently unavailable in NZ.

Any ideas?

Ian

Just an addition to that, I need to send bulk txt (prob about 50 per msg) as we are using it as a notifying service for our Youth Group.

Thanks,

Ian

I don't think there are any left. You can try a new services at sms.ac, but I've heard some strange things about them. Other than that, you'll have to resort to paying for bulk SMS.

I would be away from sms.ac. They tried spamming this board, and I read some interesting stuff on the papers about users receiving unwanted super premium SMS.

I would suggest knowing the persons carrier and just going to the site and using their FREE srvice which most bigger carriers have such as:Sprint http://messaging.sprintpcs.com/textmessaging/compose;jsessionid=BHJk1eUQN69XecYeXoouJCZCMu2CBYbkLGEnngY0kp4elvwsK2Ii!-1635041836!182751416!5070!7002

Well, in the US, it costs to receive SMS messages, so of course it's going to be free.

Clickatell offers various services (not free), with good prices (around EUR 0.04 each SMS). They also have a PC client for their services. I use them for the SMS notification on Geekzone.
