I'm looking forward to the GSMA Mobie World Congress (16th - 19th Feb, Barcelona), should be some exciting annoucements...

I am in the market for a new mobile, but have been holding off for the Nokia N97...but that could all depend on what is announced, could be some surprises...

From what I have read, we could see the following announced:
- An 8MP Nokia mobile
- Nokia Ivalo (N98?), the successor? to the N97

Also, a Nokia App store, merging all the current attempts, offfering free and paid Apps.

Any predictions?

You'll never keep up with new technology, you wait for one thing the next bigger and better comes out. Chiefie bit the bullet and got himself a Palm Pro, I bit the bullet got me a BB 8110 (sick of big phones),

My hope is to have same size Pearl with 3G, GPS, and Wifi support. The Curve 8900 is quite nice and small still too big for me though! I'll put off with buying new gadgets after this for at least a year.

What about a Nokia E55 zocster?

If the Blackberry client side of things is something you need, apparently RIM are working on a S60 client.

Interestingly the 19th of February has come and gone, but we haven't seen Dell announce a smartphone. I suspected that the rumours may just be hot air, but there was always a possibility that there may be some substance to them.

For some reason, the only Nokia shape I like is the N97, but I have no need for touch screen, I love the shape of the 8100 range, esp the 8110 with the way they position the camera and flash.

This is true, one can only get the best of whats available at that point in time and settle for that...
That said, I will bite the bullet and buy a Nokia N97...it does everything I want and more.
