Whilst I'm reasonably happy with my TX115, I'd prefer an 8100 because I like it more cosmetically, and I have more confidence in the Sanyo brand.

This, of course, is purely based on personal preference.

Sanyo 8100 is a fine phone, maybe not as good as the 7400, but still damned good, and very reliable. Only thing lacking is the memory for pictures :o

I have had both phones, I would rather use a sanyo 8100 than a 115c any day.

Currently on a 7400 and really liking it. Lots. Better than Nokia. And Im a Nokia fan.

I'm pretty sure my next handset will be a Sanyo, too. It bugs me, though, that the 8100 has been re-released at the old price of $500 because I had hoped that Telecom could afford to knock another $100 off it. After all, it doesn't really seem right that it's $200 more expensive than the Hyundai TX115 but only $100 cheaper than the Sanyo 7400.

Still, the 8100 was a hugely popular handset so I suppose it all comes down to market forces.
