Hello! My turn to ask questions now... I've just received a Thera CDMA Pocket PC Phone Edition from Telecom New Zealand to try out and review.

I've entered the dialup configuration as #777, and appropriate user/password info (the same I have on one of my PC Cards around here): mobile@jamamobile, password telecom. Also the init string +crm=1;+cso=33

I've selected "Sierra Wireless SB555 Modem" in the connection configuration. The Pocket PC will dial out and fail saying "There is no modem at the number dialed".

Can anyone confirm what's Telecom access number to use here?

Thanks!

Never mind, folks... To connect I have to use the Watcher application, not the OS connection.

It's working now.

To do a call on the Thera using the internal dialer, enter &C2 into the extra settings.

Username : mobile@jamamobile
Password : telecom
Phone Number is: #777

with the &C2 it will trigger the sierra watcher, and dial for you. enabling you to use the automatic connection options in PPC.

PS: You'll also need to choose the SB555 module @ 110bps (internally mapped to 230400bps)

The dial string you had previously (+CRM=1;AT+CSO=33) is for the Nokia 6385 handset.

Jarad.
