I need one!! No-one on Trade Me has them, even though the phones sell with them. I've tried the net, waste of time, anyone know why they're so hard to get? The phone's features like the music player are basically inaccessible without the cable. Thanks for any help

I've got a few bits and pieces from the W531, including an unused (unopened!) data cable.

My wife only had it for a few months before breaking it, and never used either the data cable or the headphones!  Just had a look in the original box in the wardrobe and they are still present and correct.  Never seem to throw out the boxes until sometime after the phones expire (large wardrobe!)

PM me might be best if you want to follow up.

I've not had any contact from the OP so maybe it is sorted.  However, a quick google suggests some issues/limitations on what the W531 can do via its PC connection (cable or bluetooth) so it might pay to do a bit of research sugarpie, if you haven't already.

Bluetooth file transfer is NOT supported on this device, only audio will work. No infrared either.

Hi guys, many thanks for your replies. I have decided to sell this phone because I don't like the design, it's very hard to use. I did heaps of research about it and everything was positive, just goes to show you that you can't always believe what you read!! But it's really weird, the phone is basically useless without the PC cable - you can't put any MP3 songs on it without it. And yet no-one seems to sell them? Thanks again, cheers. :)

A Telecom Store or Dealer should be able to order one for you from the repair agents.

Not sure on cost through.

Or refer to my original reply.  Offer still stands if you do decide you want to try the data cable option.  Cheers.
