Hey there I'm new here and I know there's another thread on this phone but I just want to know from anybody who has this phone what you like about it, what you don't like about it - do you have to go through much of a menu to text or is it pretty well shortcutted?

What would you pay for it new?
What would you pay for it second hand in brand new excellent condition?

Thanks alot :)

i had one of these phones, the only thing i didnt like about it was that it didnt have a camera.
i got it for free though so i didnt mind. Really nice phone, if you get it, get a infrared component for your pcso you can transfer games and ringtones accross. i used MobiMB for transfering them, i paid for it.

But its a easy phone to use, pretty typical nokia in my opinion...

Hi,

Yup I have one of these phones, Its nice and small, and looks nice, but it has a lot of annoying little bugs and features( like most telecom phones. Sending a text message seems to take and inordinate amount of clicks. the fastest way is to go via the phone book, and select the "send a message" option for a contact, but even that seems to take a while.

Some of my biggest peeves are

-Low volume on the earpiece
-Poor battery life, especially in the bottom 1/2- it can go from half full to flat in a few hours.
-It drops text's while the ( quite small ) inbox is full, unless you turn on auto over-writing
-It wont download ringbones that are not on telecoms site ( it needs a descriptor file )
-you cant assign down loaded rings to contacts, only the inbuilt ones

If you like Nokai's, it's probably a good by, and the IR is nice for Synching and Internet. but its not without its daemons...

I currently have one of these.
I sync it with my desktop using the infrared or a clone cable that cost me next to nix on trademe to download java apps, sync with Outlook Contacts and Calendar.
The Organiser works well with the 128x128 higher resolution colour screen than most other similarly priced phones.
It has a better polyphonic playback than the 2280 and 3586 (more voices).
The screen is colour and 128x128
It has a builtin FM Radio that can be activate with a 2.5 mm headphone plug or converter.
I picked up a pair of Nokia stereo HDS 5 headphone off trademe for $15 that allows you to change channels from the cord.
The cameras can be over rated. If your budget is tight, most camera phones do a poor 640x480 at best and only if you dwell before taking the final shot.
You can set up menu shortcuts to common functions.
Did I mention it also has a calorie counter and calculator?
