Hello
I notice Xiaomi NZ store in Auckland has shut down and PB tech appears to be the main retailer for Xiaomi NZ phones.
.

Does anyone know what this may mean for new Xiaomi models coming on the shelves here as I love there phones and the bang for buck that they give.

I have been waiting for the NZ 14t to arrive here but not sure now.

Or any other recommendations on other phone brands that give bang for buck like Xiaomi?

Cheers

Oppo is getting a lot of traction with the mobile operators, Xiaomi Store NZ was just PB Tech, so they must have decided the cost didn't justify what it brought in. I suspect it'l be business as usual for Xiaomi handsets, but I'd definitely investigate the Oppo devices too.

It always surprised me that they bothered opening a Xiaomi store - and in such an expensive location. They could have just made "mini stores" in the PBTech branches which would have been way more effective.

It was always just a PBTech with only Xiaomi items. There will be no change, it'll still be the same items coming in, just at PBTech.

This being said, Vivo and Oppo are pushing way past Xiaomi's offering these days. I've had Xiaomi phones for 10+ years, but I'm likely going Oppo at my next replacement.

14T or 14T Pro? I'm going for the Vivo X200 Pro which is slightly better spec wise than the 14T Pro.

I also noticed the vivo x200 pro is not a NZ model so maybe not for me.
I do not want to purchase an imported phone for a number of reasons.
Thanks

Best bet is to just look at what your carrier of choice sells and pick one of those if you want to keep it simple. Maybe shop around the carriers for the handset itself?
