I am trying to get a connection from my Ipaq 3950 via the IR port to a Motorola MPx220 Smartphone. I have tried all the settings supplied by Cingular and several other resources to no avail. It never makes the connection to the phone. Does anyone have ANY advice???

I was given these settings from Cingular:

Baud Rate: 115200 - 8, N, 1

Init Str: &f&d2&c1+cgdcont=1,"IP","isp.cingular"

Dial Str: *99***1#

Username: ISP@CINGULARGPRS.COM

Passwd: CINGULAR1

I have tried auto and manually inserting the dialing string but it never gets to the phone. Additionally when I try and use the "infrared" util on the IPAQ it starts by "looking for sending device" and then says "establishing connection with smartphone" but never finishes or connects. Both devices IR is on.

Try using +cgdcont=1,"IP","isp.cingular on your init string only.
