Looking at maybe pickup up a 2nd hand "refurbished" Samsung S22 from somewhere like Just Tech/Mobile City.....

I know MC is hit and miss with their reviews but if I go in-store and purchase there and check  it over, I should be ok... right ? :D

Anyone dealt with Just Tech - or anywhere else similar thats recommended ?

TIA

Be sure to check the exact model of phone you’re getting fully supports the NZ network bands if buy refurbished.
I know of several people now who purchased refurbished phones which are now a paperweights with the 3G switch off (they unknowingly purchased US variants).

Very good point....

Right, then if I am looking at a S22/+, what should I be looking for to ensure I'm getting the right model for NZ ? :)

Mr AI tells me : SM‑S906B (global version) — fully compatible with NZ 4G + 5G

If I'm basing just off the model (SM‑S906B), appears thats why Im seeing so many cheap... theyre all o/seas models. Bugger.

OK, I may have to look at other options :D

Recommendations for new $500 phone ? ;)

Prefer something with good camera (but obviously $$ plays into that), otherwise just good solid performance.

I queried model number on a few, and none of them replied. So I'd say they know they're selling potentially questionable use items.

I ended up buying the Xiaomi. Arrives next week.

30 day return period. There may be cheaper options on the site.
