Can anyone unlock this 3g mobile?
My brother bought it in Oz for an xmas gift for my dad. We can't put any other sim card in it as it's locked to 3g.

Can anyone please help

Is it locked to 3G network or is it locked to the 3 network in OZ, You need to make your question more clear.

As far as I know you can't put any other sim card besides a 3g one in the phone. I don't know what kind of lock that is. Sorry but I'm not technologically minded.

Some UMTS phones use SIM cards with different voltage, depending on what network is used... And the phone could be SIM locked to the network.

yes I think the phone is dual.
I found a site where it has all the specs so here's the link:

http://www.gsmarena.com/index.php3?sRedir=http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_c975-804.php

I've rung 3g and they are stuffing me around and said the phone is locked to only accept a 3g USIM. My father would have to pay a bit to get it unlocked to any network, which sux for an xmas gift. The unlock code cost more than the phone so I'm told.

So if anyone can help, yet again.
