Does anyone know when Vodafone will realistically be offering 3G in NZ?

I keep hearing "early 2005", "1st or 2nd quarter" etc - which sounds to me like "We're working on it but don't really know when it will be available".

I'd like to start testing with it asap - although if they take too long, I might just have to visit one of our offices in Europe to do development and testing!

Thanks for your help.

Going to Europe is not a bad idea... Anyway, if you have realistic deadlines to projects you should talk to your Vodafone account manager and ask for a trial account. They already have 3G PC Cards and mobile phones and some infrastructure. There are a couple of cell sites around, but I'm not sure about Christchurch.
