Hey Guys,

I need help...
Recently i smashed the screen and lens protector on my nokia 5310.
I purchased a replacement lens and lcd screen from ebay. When i was dismantling the phone i ripped the power cable so back onto ebay and i got myslef a new replacement metal frame with the power cables attached (brand new).

When I was assembling the phone it all went together without a problem however the pwoer button does not work...?

Even if you push the power button with ur finger it will not turn on (this was done without the plastic power button)

The screen works fine as it lights up to show that it is charging..

The power button (litle plastic part) has been installed correctly..

Any one got any ideas?

If It cant be fixed then my phone can stay on trademe and ill just wait for XT

It's just a keypad with power and music controls module problem. You have to check if the one you got from Ebay is working on other 5310's if you can find a spare one, quite a few of this stocks I've seen are faulty even brand new ones.

check keypad connection first, try to clean it little bit, otherwise is the keypad ic faulty, DIY is good, but you need the right tools, microscope, heatgun...etc, but anyway it is not hard to get it done, good luck buddy
