Hey,

this is a useful little tool which lets u add IM (Instant messaging) clients from several different providers.. E.g. i just use MSN messenger but u can add facebook etc on it aswell. IM on ur phone; free on Wifi and im sure would use very little data useage. I know there is a built in  messenger platform on the w705 but this is really much simpler and nicer looking.

ITS FREE.

ANYWAY

Anyone who has looked might have noticed that the W705 or W715 are in the list of devices. I remembered reading somewhere that the browser on the G705 was pretty much 100% same so i tried it for that. Works a charm! obviously not as quick as on a PC but works extremely well.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. go to http://www.ebuddy.com/ebuddy_id.php and click "create an e-buddy ID"

2. Follow the pop-up window and create an account

3. Connect your W705a to WiFi or i guess can be done over HSDPA (i have not tested this, i did it over WiFi)

4. On your W705a, Point the browser to http://get.ebuddy.com

5. Select "SonyEricsson" under brand, Click Next

6. Select "G705" from the pop down model list, Click Next

7. Click Download

8. You will be prompted a few times then asked where you would like to install the app, either games or applications. I chose applications but doesnt matter

9. When u open up E-buddy input your ebuddy ID when prompted

10. Click on "add account" then follow instructions to enter Users and Passwords for the various IM services you use.

NOTE: i noticed it says it has saved on memory card after installation, so if changing memory cards a reinstall may be necessary

ill try answer questions if ppl are having problems.

cheers
ENJOY!

I'm having a bit of trouble getting it to sign into facebook, did you have to do anything in particular to get it to work?
