Bought my mother in-law one today  and the fone is great except  the receiving of MMS.  On her old Samsung W531  (and on my LG on Vodafone) when a MMS was received  she just pressed the  view button and the picture was there.  With the R7 when you do this a URL is displayed and you have to do several more steps to view the picture.  The book says to  Press OK   to view and then Retrieve to download the picture but there is no Retrieve icon.

Any one got any ideas as to how to speed this up.  I suggested she go back to the Telecom store and have a talk to someone there..

Edit Update. Took the fone back to the Telcom store and apart from old messages we tried new ones from their XT fones and my Vodafone and it worked as would expect it to work.  Go figure.


The only other bone of contention it  appears that you can't permanently turn off  Ptext only while creating a text according to the user guide..
