Edit: Woops posted without saying anything. sorry.

Hey.

Well i am on the lookout for a new phone but cant really find anything that my eyes like. So i came here in the hope somebody would be able to point one out to me. :)

There are a few things which are a must.

1) Must be able to buy from within NZ/Wellington
2) Must be touch screen or Touch screen with Qwerty Keyboard
3) Cant be a slider
4) Cant be a Samsung
5) Must be able to go on Prepay + XT Network

The following four phones are the ones that i am looking for mostly, but cant find them on XT Network.

- Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a
- HTC Touch Diamond2
- HTC Touch Pro2
- Nokia N97

Thanks for reading..and an extra thanks if you can help me decide.

Weird that 3/4 of the phones you're looking at are sliders, which you mentioned you didn't want?

The X1a isn't available anywhere in NZ that I can tell, checked that recently for another forum member.

The N97 has just recently come out in a NAM flavour (compatible with XT), I expect you will see that available here very soon.

I don't think the Touch Pro 2 NAM/Touch Diamond 2 NAM are out yet, but they are meant to be released (? when).

The HTC Magic (Android OS) is a touchscreen available in NAM frequencies at phonesdirect.co.nz, they also have the Nokia 5800, neither of which have physical keypads. They also have the original Touch Pro in NAM. Besides these I don't know of other phones available in NZ that meet your criteria.

Hey NZTechfreak. Thanks for your reply.
I did say that I dont want a slider yes, but i also said it can be touch screen + Qwerty keyboard. To me a Qwerty Keyboard + a sliding phone arent the same thing, but i guess its different for everybody.

Yes I think it was me that you checked about the X1a. Ah really? Awesome i will keep my eyes peeled for the N97. Yes im not sure when the TP2 or TD2 are coming out on 850Mhz.

I had a look at the HTC Magic, not really keen on the look :(. I will have a look at the 5800 and the original Touch Pro.

Thanks heaps for your reply. :)
