can you change from telecom to vodafone on an 6585 nokia...it has the place for a sim but its running on telecom.. What do i have to DO!!!

No - not possible. The SIM is actually an RUIM which is for CDMA.

Spillage - the GSM phones and CDMA phones have different chipsets and are not able to be used on the other network, (its like Intel processor vs Mac)
