Hi Everyone,

I have connected to the CDMA Mobile through Serial Port and am able to access the Web at 144 KBPS.

Operator : Reliance Infocomm
Handset Manufacturer : LG
Handset Model : RD-2130

Issue :

How do i send SMS from my PC through the CDMA LG RD-2130 Mobile.

I would like to send SMS to list of mobile numbers from the PC ideally thro the Commandline.

Receive SMS in the PC and execute Programs and respond to the Send some text messages by reading from a text file.

The Handset is connected to the COM1 Serial Port, i have tried querying the port and most of the standard AT commands do not work.

Request assistance in developing an Application that can help in doing the same. Standard freeware and sharewares are available for GSM mobiles for this activity but are not working on the CDMA mobile.

Request support & Assistance.

Shalako.

CDMA architecture will not allow you to do this in an easy and cost effective mannor. My advice is contact Reliance and ask them about connectivity to their SMSc... it wont be a small deal, but they sghould have information you need.

The idea is to prevent people from spamming the customers, and so it is usually controlled by the Telco on CDMA networks...
