Easiest way is just to use the TXT topup service, buy the person a card, TXT them the code and get them to forward it to the TXT topup number.

You can also top up online using a credit card if I remember... and probably using their new top up service via bank cards soon, even while roaming.

The issue is that if you're in the UK you can't just walk into a store and buy a Vodafone NZ recharge card! Ringing Vodafone NZ and paying by credit card is the easiest way but means calling NZ to do that, which is why the TXT topup is handy.

What he was meaning is that if they ring the 0800 800 021 number, the person in NZ can top up on your behalf.
