Hey guys, long time reader, first time cal.. err. poster.

My partner recently purchased the LG GM310, now all in all it's a pretty mean phone, but she does have one complaint..

When an audio file is added as the ringtone for when a text is received it'll only last for 6 seconds before stopping. Now, I've read the troubleshooting guide back to front, called LG and Telecom, been into their stores and nobody's known how to solve it or they've passed the buck to the next person.

It'd be great to find out if there is a way of extending this as it's driving the Mrs crazy.

I have an LG ku990 (viewty) and it has the same shortcomming, theres no way around it. The only thing you can do is use an audio editor and get the desired portion of the song, into that 6 seconds. This is all due to LGs fantastic operating system
Edit: Well aparently there is a way around it for the veiwty, but this requires hacking the handset and getting friendly with a hex editor to change some lines of code, me thinks not! Cant see anything for your lg though

Damn.. here I was thinking I had found the perfect/well priced phone.

Strangely enough, the LG rep told me that they had nothing to do with it and it was all due to the telephone company I'm with. I rang Telecom and they said it's because I don't have enough memory (?!).. Who says you need product knowledge to work a help desk. Haha.
