Purchased a new iphone 3GS to run on Telecom XT. The guys in the telecom shop took my old Nokia and put all my contacts onto the new sim.

The problem is when I go into 'Settings' - 'Mail contacts calendars' - the press 'Import SIM Contacts' it seems to take the time to be downloading them, but then they don't appear in my address book??

Is there a setting I need to change??

Everything else works fine, email, internet, wifi, calling, txting. Just don't have my contacts in there.

That is weird. Have you tried putting the sim into another phone and seeing if it shows up there? There may be something wrong with the sim card not your iPhone.

Yeah tried that. The info is there. Spoke to Apple earlier and they said it might be something to do with my old Nokia. Even though it's only 2 years old, the iPhone might not recognise the way it stores names and numbers etc.

Tried to download the phone info with isync, but it ain't compatible.

Looks like I'll be entering in everything old school!

Will just bang it all into my mac, then transfer accross to iPhone.
