Hi all, Well I have a Samsung N391
Now the problem started aprox 3 weeks ago when i was sending a large Photo message
45k to an email address i use my phone to send images of things to my pc at times
So lol i wanted to send a message so no problem, The night before i toped up my fone with a 20$ Topup (being on prepayed) and i get this message access denied
I rang Telecoms helpdesk thay told me there was no problems with the network etc
And that it wasent telecom's fault

So i wait a few days... Nogo... Ring Telecom Same reply.

I went to a Telecom store Great store (Telecom store in Henderson Hi guys)
Thay rang telecom and telecom said the phone had been baned/blocked (possable from being over credit and not being reset) well its 2 weeks later and it still hasent been fixed :(
Telecom said its not just my phone its a lot of people with the same phone
Shuldent i be able to get some Free Credit from Telecom for this ?
I am seriously thinking of Switching back to Vodafone becose this is just a major hassle for me

And the guy from Wireless support was kinda rude when i asked about geting a credit.

Anyone else haveing same problem?
Anyone with a suggestion on geting telecom to give me credit ?

I Love my Phone but right now its useless to me

A prepaid customer threatening to go to Voda wont raise any eyebrows I shoudnt think.

What do your t&c's say about reimbursement for affected service?

If it says you get free credit, then you are in luck.

The guy i spoke to said its a isssue with some of these phones
And when i asked him about a Free credit he basicly said no way

Surely i am entitled to something this has been 3 weeks now and i can't send photo messages still
I'll talk to them monday if its not fixed i'll be doing a lot of calling around
Will keep everyone posted here as to what happens.

Whuld be nice for Telecom to say hay heres $5 credit for the hassle i whuld he happy with even a txt message saying there still haveing issues but there not even giveing me updates

count0nz, just keep ringing them and explain you can't send MMS's. Works for me particularly with Massey, Voda and Xtra (though I dropped my account with them because of an issue).

Make sure you say that you took the handset to the shop (as Telecom will probably refer you there) and report the findings.

The secret is to be constant - ring them every day or more if nessecary till they fix it.
(This has been known to backfire but chances are that they'll cave in)

As for threatening to switch over to the 'dark side' (depending on which network you consider the light side ), as Disenchanted said they'll probably won't be too worried.

Though strangely enough when I was in China and had an issue with roaming (and was on prepay), Voda just granted me $10 for submitting an email question asking whether my roaming contract had expired.

cokemaster is right. keep on at them, but be careful.

telecoms t's and c's state that their liability is 1 months rental on the affected service (i.e. for a prepaid customer, thats about zero)

Good stuff!

I think they may be confused about what the actual issue was... took me about 2 minutes to work it out, but I have access to tools that they may not...

On there behalf, sorry it took so long to resolve!
