I wonder if any out there is familiar with the Davinci Client flashing software for the Sony Ericsson phones? I used it to get rid of the V-live! customisations fvrom my K700i.
I've got a problem in where the firmware has loaded OK, but finalisation has not taken place. Got the error:

Flash Finalization Started!
Wait while process will be finished!
CsLoader Accepted Ok!
System Initialization. Please Wait...
Getting data from server...
Connection ok! Data recieving...
Command failed with error: 0x00020040!

Now the phone starts up ok, and I can see the new firnware has taken in the background, but a big red box saying "Configuration error. Please contact network operator or service centre" is in the foreground and won't let me do anything.
The weird thing is I can still receive calls and text messages.

I've sent an email help request to the Davinci team and am awaiting a reply, but i was wondering if anyomne else has had this problem and what they did to fix it?

If you can show the Davinci Team your problem they *should* provide you with another credit.

What's happened is that a customisation file (called finalization in the Davinci client) hasn't been sent to the phone (it contains certificates and other important information), without this file the phone will report this error.

There's no way to fix it without getting the file flashed to the phone. Hopefully the Davinci Team will help you out (provide you with another credit and hope it flashes the customisation file properly.

If you still have issues, contact me and I'll help you out, I have standalone software that doesn't suffer from these sorts of problems.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

Actually another thing you could try is the SonyEricsson Online Update for the K700i, if you can trick it into flashing your phone it might work (though it might also rebrand the phone if Davinci Client didn't change the CDA strings in the phone)

Thanks for your reply there.
Actually managed to sort stuff out with the Davinvi people, turns out there was some file missing off their server.
Anyways, all fixed and i'm now the happy owner of an unbranded K700i
