Does anyone know if I can get my SE w810i unlocked in Hamilton? I know there are a couple of places that do it in Auckland, but I'd rather not send it away.
Sorry... I bought the phone in Ireland. I actually already had it unlocked while I was in Dublin, and it was working fine on the NZ Vodafone network - but I thought it would be nice to debrand, and after I debranded my phone ended up locked again.
I have been quoted a price of $45 from a company in Auckland, plus postage there and back - sounds a little bit high to me, but that's probably because I am comparing it to the 12 euro I paid last time.
Your phone got locked again coz it wasn't fully unlocked. They patch unlocked your phone. Ask the repair centre if they do full unlock or patch unlock. I think $45 is not bad if fully unlocked.
